City Cat Doctor

We are one of only 12 top veterinary clinics in the entire Chicago Land area.

WE FOCUS SPECIFICALLY ON FELINE MEDICINE...
OUR TIME, ATTENTION, AND SKILLS ARE FOR CATS ONLY.

WHY A PRACTICE FOR CATS ONLY?

A visit to an animal hospital is frequently stressful for a cat although it may appear calm. This is often caused by the presence of dogs. A dog's nose pushing against the screen of the cat's carrying case, dog's odors and / or noisy barking produce great anxiety and can negatively impact a cat's white count and blood sugar level.

Because of the numerous advances in canine and feline medicine, it’s become difficult for doctors to keep medically current for both species.  More and more people prefer feline only clinics. Experts agree that separate clinics for dogs and cats will be standard in the near future.

WE FOCUS SPECIFICALLY ON FELINE MEDICINE. We adhere to the standards of the American Association of Feline Practitioners and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

FELINE FRIENDLY

We understand how you feel about your pet as a member of your family. The doctors and staff are committed to giving your much loved kitty the best possible medical care.

We know cats need emotional care too. We treat them gently, with respect, and sensitivity. We talk to them, pet them and hold them when they are with us. Cat wards are equipped with television sets because cats are used to hearing human voices and many cats like to watch. Because cats are used to hearing human voices, this helps them feel more secure and calm. Keeping the stress level low is important...a stressed cat does not get well as quickly and is more vulnerable to other diseases.
We have a list of services you may need for your pet. They are not affiliated with the clinic in any way, but come highly recommended from other clients. You are welcome to call us should you need a recommendation for a cat sitter, groomer, pet shop or breeder
